I remember when Randy first tried out for football at Mineral Springs. It was like, "Where has this guy been hiding?" He was naturally big, the perfect build for a football player, and for a nice quiet guy, he could really turn on the "mean switch" when he was on the field.
Of all the talent that we possessed on that championship team at North, Randy was the one able to take that with him and play Division I football at Wake Forest. He did us all proud. He will always be missed.
And Randy, I forgive you for stealing my girlfriend in the 8th grade. Be at peace.
